Position: Head of HR

Position Summary:

The role is responsible for managing the overall HR activities and to act as liaison  between General Manager and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of all HR queries. Supporting the branch HR activities and assisting in coordinating HR policies, processes, procedures and relevant documents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  2. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  3. Manages the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  4. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  5. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  6. Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  7. Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  8. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  9. Cultivate professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. 
  10. Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  11. Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  12. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  13. Advances human resource staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees and planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  14. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics 
  15. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records and representing the organization in external meetings or hearings.
  16. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  17. Processing of the employment permits for expat employees 
  18. Ensure that all legal compliance is adhered to in the employment of expatriates.
  19.  Must support and promote diversity and inclusion.

Communication: 

  1. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  2.  Maintain confidentiality regarding all information accessed by virtue of your position, of either fellow staff or the company, which are yet to be made public by the DMA Management. 
  3. Nurture a positive working environment
  4. Communicate openly and honestly at all times
Requirements: 

  1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or other related field. 
  2. 10+ years related HR experience, 5 of which should be in a management role.
  3. 5+ years’ experience in Labor and Employee Relations
  4. Strong collaboration, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Fantastic knowledge of HR functions, laws and best practices. 
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  6. Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  7. Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office (Visio, PowerPoint, Excel) and related HR software. 
  8. Excellent knowledge of industry trends. Conduct annual salary surveys
  9. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  10.  Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company. 
  11. Meticulous, attention to detail.
