Mohammed Kudus likely to be banned by FIFA from playing against Uruguay – Here’s why

News keeps coming in aftermath of the Black Star and South Korea game in Qatar yesterday 28th November 2022.


The latest to hit the internet is the likely match ban by FIFA on Ghana’s darling boy Kudus. Though unconfirmed, the news has brought fear to Ghanaians.

According to the unconfirmed information shared on Twitter by a Tweep, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee are studying Kudus’ goal celebration video.

The reason for such likely action is that Kudus used the ‘F’ word in the camera while he was celebrating the goal scored.

Per the info, Mohammed Kudus might be fined/banned from playing against Uruguay as a sanction for using a word inappropriate for the public, especially in Qatar.

The Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup has been announced.

Otto Addo is expected to name his final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the coming days. 

This will be a massive cut down from the 55-man provisional list released on Friday, November 2. 


FIFA has set November 14 as the deadline for all 32 participating countries to release final squads.

 

However, 3 countries- Japan, Costa Rica, and Brazil have already named their final squads for the tournament due to start on November 20. 


The Black Stars have a tall order as they have been pitted against Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay in Group H of the World Cup. 


They will begin their World Cup campaign against Portugal on November 24, followed by South Korea on November 28, and conclude against Uruguay on December 2 at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakra.

Karim Benzema wins first Ballon d’Or over Sadio Mane

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema today won his first Ballon d’Or.

He beat competition from Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne who came second and third respectively.

Karim Benzema was instrumental in Real Madrid’s winning of La Liga and the Champions League.

Receiving the coveted award at the Paris’ Theatre Du Chatelet on Monday night, Karim Benzema said: 

‘To see this prize in front of me makes me proud. It was a childhood dream for me and with all the work I have done, I never gave up.

‘I always had in my mind that anything was possible, when I was not in the France team I never stopped working hard.


‘I am proud of my journey here. It was not easy, it was a difficult time and also for my family as well. To be standing here today for the first time, I am happy with my work and will keep going.
