 We are a logistics company that trades a broad portfolio including Food and Beverages, Pharmaceuticals and Beauty Products, Water Production, Oil and Gas, Mining, Real Estate, International Trade and Finance and Investments.

We are currently looking for a highly qualified individual to fill the role of an operations Manager.

 

 ROLE PROFILE

The Operations Manager will lead, direct and manage the day-to-day operations for the organisation. The Operations Manager will formulate strategy, improve performance, procure materials and resources and securing compliance. He/She should be ready to mentor team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 • He/She must have experience in project management to ensure proper planning and execution of the company’s projects. This manager must be able to create, manage and analyse performance date.

• He/She must have experience in coordinating the activities of various departments concerned with procurement, pricing, sales and distribution of products.

 •  The successful candidate must have excellent commercial approach to solving problems and developing business processes and must also possess management skills, with the ability to manage performance and motivate staff on an individual basis and team level.

 •  Must be able to ensure tight control on operational costs and create efficiencies in the business processes.

 •  The successful candidate must clearly understand the goals of the company and develop a clear vision of exactly how operations will help achieve them. 

•  He/She shall perform other related duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 •  Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline

•  Five (5) years working experience in a related field. Experience in supply chain activities in a chain of supermarket or distribution outlets will be an added advantage

 Proficient computer skills will include MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Outlook, MS-Project and data entry
