Belfast Africa is hiring Legal Counsel

 Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of the legal department
•  Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate and commercial related matters 
•  Legal representation and advisory services for the group of companies in all matters. 
•  Ensuring efficient administration of the legal department
• Attending meetings for and on behalf of the group
•  Managing the Companies' risk and liability
•  Record-keeping and document management
• Advising on corporate governance
•  Managing the incorporation and legal affairs of subsidiaries
• Collaborating with and supervising external counsel
•  Drafting and reviewing contracts
•  Negotiating contracts
•  Facilitating and negotiating investment
• Conducting research using legislation, case law, other legal texts, and online resources
•  Drafting legal documents, including reports, contracts, opinions etc. 

Skills & Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience practicing law - experience as in-house legal counsel is preferable. 
• LLB degree & licensed to practice law in Ghana
•  An in-depth appreciation of commercial transactions and corporate practice
• Excellent communication skills, strong time management and organizational skills
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
