Cj Biggerman Urges Collective Effort to Revive Ghanaian Music Industry !!

Ghanaian musician Cj Biggerman has expressed his concern over the state of the music industry in Ghana.

In a tweet, he said the industry was in a dire state, and that basic systems and structures that should be readily available were nonexistent.

According to Cj Biggerman, talented individuals were struggling to make a name for themselves, and had to resort to beef or negative news to generate buzz.

He urged Ghanaian artists to learn from their Nigerian counterparts and take the industry seriously.

He called for a collective effort to revive the industry, saying that artists deserve better and that it was time to create a thriving industry.

He wrote;

The Ghanaian Music industry is in a dire state, and it breaks my heart. We keep holding onto the "One day e go bee" mentality while we're losing out on valuable opportunities. Basic systems and structures that should be readily available are nonexistent.

It's true that we have some Ghanaians who have made it big globally, but they're not looking at the bigger picture. They're all moving solo. We need a collective effort to bring life back into the industry.

It's disheartening that for an artist in Ghana to generate buzz, they have to resort to beef or negative news that won't translate into anything substantial over a long period.

Look at our Nigerian brothers and sisters who run successful campaigns for their projects, which translates into global phenomena. We need to learn from them and take our music industry seriously.

Talented individuals are struggling to make a name for themselves, and it's painful to see their talents go to waste. We need a revival of the industry, and those who understand the game should make a conscious effort to bring life back into it.

Let's not sit back and watch our music industry crumble. We need to have a serious conversation about this and take action to make it better. Our artists deserve better, and we owe it to them to create a thriving industry.”
