CBI Ghana Ltd is hiring Methods Engineer

 We are seeking to recruit a Methods Engineer. The incumbent will plan and schedule the maintenance operations, and optimize the use of resources by driving a cross-functional analysis of incidents by implementing action plans (mid to long-term) to improve both reliability and maintenance practices.

What you will do

Preparation activities

• Collect and handle all the work requests

• Ensure quality of technical specifications for spare parts and contracted work. Work on reduction of imported spares

• Keep the library updated and ensure equipment documentation is permanently updated “as built”

• Develop and ensure the utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System when it is implemented (Maximo)

Scheduling activities

• Schedule and prepare weekly mechanical and electrical maintenance plans with the assistance of both Mechanical and Electrical engineers

• Manage maintenance backlog

• Schedule and prepare major shutdowns, ensure coordination with other departments

• Maintain and update the preventive maintenance program

• Review and improve inspection routes

Assistance to Mechanical engineer

• Take the responsibility of mechanical team when the mechanical engineer is off

• Supervise specific mechanical tasks when it is requested

A good match will be an individual who is

• An experienced Process or Mechanical Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in the either cement, mining, glass, or steel industry

• Has knowledge in the use of Autocad

• Self-motivated and not afraid to take initiative

• Comfortable with the MS Office suite (excel and word)

It will be a plus

• To have knowledge of the use of MAXIMO

• To have knowledge of the use of MS Project
