Job Description

We are a pan-African IT-based company headquartered in Nigeria with operations throughout the continent.

Job Profile

The country manager is responsible for business development activities within the region. He must be able to develop and implement strategies for launching new solutions and provide sales support across various ActivEdge Technologies Limited solutions and products (infrastructure and cloud, cybersecurity, digital business, enterprise application, and GRC).

He must be able to drive growth by increasing efficiencies and improving the marketing and sales processes for the financial success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and develop the sales and business development team.
  2. generate revenue through the sale of solutions and services for the products (Infrastructure & Cloud, CyberSecurity, Digital Business, Enterprise Applications, and GRC) offered by the company within Ghana.
  3. Identify complementary products to expand the company’s portfolio.
  4. Create sales and marketing business plans, including target markets (segments and industries), heatmaps, and go-to-market plans for the generation of a quarterly pipeline.
  5. Develop account and opportunity plans for key clients and transactions.
  6. Liaise with internal stakeholders, pre-sales, the Chief Technology Officer, product managers, and the head of professional services to leverage a team approach to support sales activities.
  7. Set activity and revenue targets for members of the sales team.
  8. Continual training and development of all members of the sales department
  9. Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
  10. Act as a spokesperson for the organization at sales events and conferences.

Key Competencies Requirements

  1. a first degree from a reputable university with a minimum of 7–10 years of experience selling information security, IT infrastructure, or related IT products.
  2. Relevant product-based sales certifications such as those from IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft are desired.
  3. ability to demonstrate software products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge.
  4. capable of prioritizing project conflicts and communicating realistic expectations to all project stakeholders.
  5. knowledge of emerging technologies and trends (both technology and leadership) to help refine the IT strategy.
  6. Familiar with the full sales life cycle and having both pre-sales and delivery experience
  7. great understanding of operating systems, application servers, web technology, digital platforms, and information security management.
  8. experience with servers, virtualization, storage, networks, end-user computing, disaster recovery, and data centre management.
  9. Practical knowledge of database architecture, networking, high availability, failover, monitoring and management, and Linux
