GENERAL DUTIES FOR THE TEACHING STAFF:
i. Provision of quality teaching to students
ii. Responsibility for areas of work and development of curricula
iii. Setting of examination questions and preparation of marking schemes
iv. Invigilation of examinations
v. Submitting of marked scripts and results on time
vi. Marking of examination scripts
vii. Supervision of students’ project work
viii. Offering academic counselling to students
ix. Conducting academic research and publication of research work
x. Initiating and coordinating staff and student based projects
xi. Assisting in the administration of the department, including conduct of examination, and preparation of time table
xii. Arrangement and supervision of students’ industrial visits
xiii. Serve on Statutory Committees, e.g., Senate and its sub-committees
xiv. Supervise students’ activities in workshops/laboratories
xv. Responsible for preparation and control of research and innovation budget under the lecturer initiative
xvi. Assist in the preparation of departmental budget
xvii. Managing the assets e.g., computers, files, furniture, cabinets etc. under the control of this office
xviii. Embarking on extension and community service for the Presbyterian University College and beyond.
xix. Preparation of course and teaching plans/outlines for students
xx. Organization of mid-stream course seminars and presentations for students
xxi. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the HOD, Dean, Vice President and President.
LECTURER OR RESEARCH FELLOW (SMP 4)
Duties:
i. Provision of quality teaching to students;

v. Submitting of marked scripts and results on time
vi. Marking of examination scripts;
vii. Supervision of students’ project work;

Qualifications:
i. Candidates must possess MPhil in the relevant field of specialization with a minimum of two years teaching/ research experience.
ii. PhD and Professional Certificate in a relevant field will be an advantage.
